You only have the trial database. The trial database only contains players who's last name begins with the letters A-O. You need to purchase the full player database to have every player listed.
- How do you determine your projections?
I use formulas by the great Bill James
to create projections. Bill James now works for the Boston Red Sox doing projections for them. His projection formulas
have been very good in past seasons. Of course, I update projections throughout the spring based on playing time, injuries, and fix any
projections that seem out of line.
- How are rankings determined?
The rankings are not that critical. The ranking is used more of a counting mechanism than an actual ranking. A ranking in your league would
be different for a ranking in another league. You would be better off looking at the Player Value that gets calculted. Player Value is determined
by your league info. It takes into account, your scoring categories, # of players drafted, # of dollars spent by each owner, MLB teams used in your
league, % spent on hitting vs pitching, ect.
The ranking is used to determine how many of the players should be included when calculating Player Values. So lets say your team has 10 owners and
each owner draft 12 hitters. Diamond Draft will then go out and get the highest ranked 120 or so hitters used in your league. The total projected
stats for these hitters is then used to calculate your league's Player Values. Thus ranking for your league is really the value calculated for each player.
- How can I create my own rankings or values?
The "Edit Screen" contains two columns called "MyRanking" and "MyValue". Use these columns to to enter your own rankings or values.
- I want to do all my research on my desktop but use my laptop during the draft?
No problem, we can set that up for you.
- Does the program give projected standings during the draft?
Yes the program lets you know where you stand in relation to everyone else.
Diamond Draft will give you the projected points total for every player during and
after the draft. The totals are automatically updated as players are
selected.
- Does Diamond Draft Software give inflated values based on the remaining
players pool during the draft?
Yes, Diamond Draft does recalulate player values after every selection. There
are 2 values you can view. "Value" which shows the original calculated value. The other column is
"Inf $" inflation value. This value supplies you each player's value based on prices paid for other
players already drafted.
You can veiw/sort by either of these columns in
both the "Edit Screen" and the "Player List Screen".
- Will Diamond Draft handle multiple leagues?
Yes, you can have as many leagues as you want.
